El Palmar
Cádiz
El Palmar beach, a few kilometers from Vejer, is a long stretch of sand open to the Atlantic, with little development and a very relaxed atmosphere. It is one of the favorite beaches for surfing in the province thanks to the quality of its waves and the presence of several schools that operate year-round.
Beyond surfing, El Palmar is a perfect spot for long walks by the sea, peaceful swims, and very photogenic sunsets. Its small center is home to beach bars, restaurants, and venues with live music, especially lively in the late afternoon.
For sunset, choose a beach bar with good orientation and book a table in advance: the area fills up quickly. If you're going to surf, check conditions — the waves change a lot depending on the day.
El Palmar is that quintessential Costa de la Luz mix: open beach, wind, surfers, long sunsets, and a general feeling of not being in a hurry.
LIVVO Tip: Great spot to watch the sunset and stay for dinner.
